INDIANS ARE AGING
According to 2011 census, Indian population above the age of 60 is whopping 104 million which could touch 173 million by 2026.
As India moves closer to the most populous country of the world, it is also facing a serious problem of ageing population. Indians are aging faster as was previously thought. By 2050, it is estimated that 20% of the entire Indian population will be more than 60 years or more.
